With latest venture Skyfall bringing Bond back into cinemagoers' hearts with what reviewers are calling a sterling film entry, the no doubt success of the film will have producers already looking to the future and to Daniel Craig's fourth entry as 007 in the untitled 'Bond 24'. While we're not thinking about the plots or the locations yet, we can always speculate about the future casting of Bond cast members, specifically the Bond Girls themselves who often provide such an iconic, arresting and delightful part of the series, the girls themselves evolving from mere eye candy or sex objects into fully-fleshed heroines, something we're all happy about. Below are my seven choices for potential Bond girls who might just be perfect when it comes to Bond 24...
7. Dichen Lachman
The Tibetan-Australian actress could easily be the archetypal 'exotic' choice for a Bond girl and one which could actually be to her advantage. Lachman always puts an interesting spin on her characters who could easily become stereotypes; in particular, her role in Joss Whedon's underrated Dollhouse as brain-wiped 'Doll' Sierra which could easily have been another 'subservient Asian' stereotype is a minor triumph. Lachman brings a soulfulness and a heroic fighting edge to Sierra, a girl who learns to re-discover herself in impossible odds whilst remaining entirely relatable - something we think that she'd utilise perfectly in the role of a Bond girl, allowing her to become more of a Wai Lin figure than Peaceful Fountains of Desire.
