Harold Zwart (Agent Cody Banks, One Night at McCool's) has been hired to direct The Pink Panther sequel according to The Hollywood Reporter. Steve Martin will once again reprise his role as the bumbling Inspector Jacques Clouseau with an August start date announced. The Pink Panther, a remake of the classic series of films which originally starred Peter Sellers was released last year to hideous reviews but somehow it went on to make over $150 million worldwide. Shawn Levy helmed the movie but after his success with Night at the Museum last Christmas, he subsequently was hired for bigger and better things and will therefore not return for this sequel. Levy's 5 movies on his upcoming slate include the comic book movie The Flash and a comedy flick where Tom Cruise and Ben Stiller lead.
