All of that concept art is ultimately academic until there's a script in place. The way screenplays are written for big blockbusters is something of a dark art, with the writer (well, usually writers, plural) rarely just purely providing a story of their own devising. Studio heads, producers, directors and everyone else will have a say, throwing their own wishes, ideas and scenes in there. Considering the project has just been greenlit, and there's been no rumours of a script existing beforehand, it's unlikely there's a finished script in place for Blomkamp's Alien film yet. Which means the concept art is likely just his free-associating on what would be cool in a new Alien film. Which also means those ideas could still wind up in there, especially if Blomkamp writes the screenplay himself. He's written or co-written all of his films, and they've all got the same sci-fi bent with themes of big corporations screwing over the little guy. Also: cool robots. But most other Alien films have been written by multiple people here's hoping Damon Lindelof isn't involved...
