Ridley Scott’s new Alien movie has been slowly teasing us with a viral campaign over the past few days with intriguing stills from the forthcoming Prometheus sequel.

Then came Michael Fassbender playing a piano, which is suitably whacky of his quirky, David Bowie inspired android David, our clearest link to the Alien prequel Prometheus that Scott delivered in 2012.

And then came this teaser trailer which is almost akin to feeling and peeling back a present on Christmas Eve before fully being able to open it. We know what it feels like but don’t know for sure what we will expect when we open it tomorrow…

Let’s hope the Alien: Covenant trailer turns out to be the gift we were hoping for this festive season and not something we wish we could return, though with movie trailers we can’t send them back unsatisfied or unwanted. We have to put up with what we receive.
