8. The Brilliantly-Placed F-Bomb
Tonal issues aside, Alita does feature the most memorable and effective use of the F-word in any recent PG-13 movie.
After Grewishka and Alita's fight spills underneath the bar and she's dismembered by his bladed weapon, he says that he can't wait to claim her remains as a prize so he can hear her pleading for mercy for the rest of eternity.
Alita, who is now just an upper torso with a single arm attached, uses the little might she has left to leap towards Grewishka and rip out his eyeball, but not before quipping, "F*** your mercy."
With a dog being brutally murdered and this occurring within a five-minute period, it's safe to say that Alita isn't quite as kid-friendly as anybody expected from the marketing (no matter the more adult nature of the source material).
