Much like the characters he plays, Gosling spends quite a bit of time in his own company. But then again, if you were Ryan Gosling, everyone else would seem like a bore. There is not much else to be said about this, so I will just let this hilarious picture do the rest. L: Lovely Bones

He gained a bunch of weight and grew a beard, but just days before Peter Jackson was about to shout action; Gosling left the set of Lovely Bones and was replaced by Mark Whalberg. No real word on why this happened. Fran Walsh intimated that they had made incorrect casting, but I have a few theories of my own. The first is that Gosling actually read the script and realized the film would suck ass. The second is that Peter Jackson showed him some test footage, and Gosling realized the film would suck ass. Third, he knew Blue Valentine would require some serious work, and he did not want to get tangled up making a different film that would end up sucking ass. In Whalbergs defense, the character of Jack Salmon was the best part of the film. So had Gosling stayed on, he too may have become the only thing in the film that didn't suck ass. It may have only been for a fleeting moment, but Ryan Gosling was once part of Steamboat Willys band of cheese-tastic cutouts.
