1. The Sharp Sound Design & Musical Score
And finally, though the visuals can be a bit choppy and cheap-looking on occasion, this film sounds great, with far greater effort put into crafting a blistering soundscape than you might expect from a fairly formulaic action film.
For starters, the sound editing is extremely crisp and, yes, loud. The film's many shootouts are lent an added intensity thanks to the blistering gunfire, which sounds beefier than just your typical stock weapon sound effects.
And beyond that, a surprisingly strong musical score from David Buckley seals the deal, with booming drum work and anxious synths amping up the intensity considerably.
If you're on the fence about whether to wait for Netflix or not, the film sure sings when blasting through a cinema sound system. Tinny laptop speakers won't be nearly the same.
