Another set of new writers on HELLRAISER

The Weinstein's remake of the genuinely creepy horror movie HELLRAISER has gone through more writers than we've had site designs! Shock Till You Drop now say that Marcus Denston and Patrick Melton are the latest guys to jump aboard and have a go at the script. They are no strangers to horror having wrote the scripts for SAW IV, the upcoming SAW V and the low-budget DTV horror movie FEAST which introduced them to the film industry.

HELLRAISER is currently set for a January 2009 release and will be directed by rookie French duo Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury. Personally, I switched off from this remake once that Clive Barker left the writing duties on the movie. The original HELLRAISER is such a freaky movie and has aged way better than most horror of the 80's, I think a well marketed re-release would go down really well. I would see it on the big screen, that's for sure!
