7. Cassie Lang

The history of Hollywood blockbusters indicates how difficult it is to create charming, likeable child characters, so Cassie Lang (Abby Ryder Fortson) is quite a rare find indeed.

The movie doesn't merely rest on Cassie being insanely adorable, but actually gives her an interesting treatment by hinting not-so-subtly at her future.

The scene where she glumly wishes she could be her father's crime-fighting partner is clearly foreshadowing the much-rumoured prospect of an older Cassie showing up in Avengers 4 to help save the day.

It's a shame Ryder Fortson won't get to play the part herself, though she'll surely be back for Ant-Man 3, and possibly even a scene in Avengers 4 depending on how the film's proposed time travel mechanics work out.
