3. Using The Technology In New Ways
As already mentioned there, the fact that Pym's technology can be used to shrink objects as well as people wearing special suits (somehow) means we'll get to see some seriously innovative effects.
In the trailer alone we see a car chase involving shrinking and growing in transit (and the use of size change as a weapon), Hank Pym shrinking an entire building to transport as hand luggage and the introduction of a sub-atomic vehicle designed to navigate the Quantum Realm to rescue Janet Van Dyne.
Obviously, there's also the Giant Man thing too, but that's been done now.
In other words, the sequel is clearly working hard to outdo the original without diluting the core values too much. it's an evolution of story as well as of the powers Pym's technology allows.
