Even with the aforementioned visual issues - namely the jarring editing choices - the Ant-Man franchise can always be relied upon to deliver some mesmerisingly weird, shape-shifting action sequences, and Quantumania is no different.

Though the film absolutely could've done more with the Quantum Realm setting, the set-pieces are generally the standout parts of the movie - especially an unforgettably surreal sequence in which Scott (Paul Rudd) enters a probability storm and encounters endless theorised versions of himself.

The moments in which Kang finally raises hell are also pretty fun, and some others which are simply too enticingly strange to spoil here. Peyton Reed may remain a firmly pedestrian filmmaker, but he at least makes good on delivering some delightfully odd action.
