9. Orm Attacks The Surface World

Black Manta then launches a devastating submarine attack on Atlantis, which is subsequently revealed to have been by the command of King Orm (Patrick Wilson), who wants to start a war on the surface world and simply wants ammunition to make it justifiable.

Moments later, Orm launches an attack on land, hurling a tidal wave towards Amnesty Bay, which crashes the car that Arthur and his father Thomas (Temuera Morrison) are riding in.

The already-spectacular sequence becomes even more stunning when Mera (Amber Heard) re-appears, using her powers to part the water and also to remove water from an unconscious' Thomas lungs.
