2. Ocean Master Still Fails To Impress
The one unimpressive constant across the trailers, however, has been the movie's primary antagonist: King Orm aka Ocean Master.
Patrick Wilson's a perfectly fine actor - and a James Wan regular, having starred in his Conjuring movies - but he seems pretty much wasted on a seemingly bland, forgettable foil for Aquaman.
It's possible the final film might delve deeper into the Shakespearean aspect of the half-brothers' opposition over ruling Atlantis, but it's probably far more likely that Orm ends up resembling a forgettable, lower-tier MCU villain.
It'd be great to be wrong about this, but nothing shown so far suggests he's anything more than a charisma vacuum, and audiences could very well be left wondering why Black Manta wasn't the main baddie instead.
