7. The Trench
Thankfully things quickly get cool once again, with Arthur and Mera diving from a boat that appears to be attacked by the Trench, a fleet of ocean-dwelling monsters that fulfil the arbitrary "voluminous, anonymous CGI monster horde" quota that appears in almost every expensive superhero movie.

As Mera tells Arthur that his mixed-race birth is what makes him a worthy ruler of Atlantis, we see the pair swimming away from the Trench, using light to scare them off, with some absolutely eye-wateringly beautiful visuals in the bargain. Seriously, this looks absolutely fantastic.
