Yes, Nolan North is the voice/motion-capture source of Desmond Miles, and yes, hes also the voice of a million other video game characters out there. Most notably, more than AC, he's known as Nathan Drake from the Uncharted series, a film I think Nolan would actually be better cast in than this one, to be honest. He doesnt really look the part of Desmond though, and that is the main reason he wont get it, but if they were to follow the lead of the game, and have Desmond be more of the supporting character to Altair or Ezio's lead, then it might be okay that he doesnt quite have the look.
