8. There's Definitely A Five Year Time Jump
The Rumour
Strictly speaking, this is not new news, because there was a rumour a long while ago that Avengers 4 would be jumping forward 5 years after the snap but the timeline was recently "confirmed" by Daniel RPK on Twitter, apparently in order to refute claims that it was only a matter of months...
Quite who was saying it would be months is unclear at this point but it's an advanced rumour all the same so it counts.

It's definitely more interesting to throw a timeline jump into things as it changes up the emotions and makes the loss of half the world's population all the more profound. Think about the connotations of Scott Lang being lost in the Quantum Realm for years while his daughter grows up or Tony Stark marrying Pepper Potts and them having a child and being faced with the idea of giving up their future in order to go back and fix the snap... There's far more at play there than if it was merely a few months.
It also means we get distance and lots of new story developments to change things up at the start and any changes to characters arrive fully formed, which would definitely be a good thing.
