3. Gamora

Her Death: Avengers: Infinity War. Desperate to claim the Soul Stone, Thanos threw his favourite daughter off the edge of a cliff, as a sacrifice. Presumably, she's not in good shape.

Her Avengers 4 Role: Out of Infinity War's biggest pre-snap deaths, Gamora is widely considered the frontrunner in the "this character will come back to life" race (as in, they won't just be in a flashback or time travel sequence - they'll live on).

As well as posting cryptic images on Instagram of her putting on the Gamora makeup, Saldana told E! News that she would be returning to the Avengers 4 set to finish up "the fourth installment" at some point this year:

"At least for me, it felt like a TBC, because I knew that we will have to all come back, at some point this fall, and finish up the second - the fourth installment of Avengers. So, it felt like 'See you later,' not like a formal goodbye."

There are numerous ways she could return. Maybe Gamora can come back to life if the Soul Stone is returned to its resting place - a soul for a soul. Or, if time travel is involved, perhaps her death could be averted completely. She could even feature in a Guardians-centric flashback. Whatever the case, Saldana's comments indicate that she will appear in some way.
