Ominous or exciting?

Now that the Avengers: Infinity War digital release is out, it's about time to really get into the second wave of obsessive content around the Russos' magnum opus. The behind-the-scenes features have revealed some nice new tidbits, there's a gag reel to get excited about and most importantly there are two director features that peel back the curtain on the production.

As well as the excellent Directors' Roundtable feature looking at the MCU in general, the audio commentary featuring the Russos and the Infinity War writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely is a veritable treasure trove of information, with insights into earlier versions of the film and specific information on how scenes were captured.

One of the most interesting revelations in there isn't even about Infinity War, though. According to the commentary team, Captain America has an expanded story in Avengers 4.

That makes a lot of sense given how little he's really given to do in Infinity War (and with rumours that he's going to be killed off, more story is the right approach). It's interesting to try and see how this lines up with the time travel theories since set leaks have shown Captain America in his 2012 costume from The Avengers and the older Cap doesn't appear to be involved in those sequences.

Given how likely it is that that will be a key sequence, you have to wonder what Cap will be up to at the same time. Let's hope he's not dead by then, eh?
