Avengers: Endgame - 11 Big Questions After The Super Bowl Spot

8. When Does The Time Jump Occur?

A time jump has been one of the biggest rumours about Avengers: Endgame for some time - predating even the title - with the biggest clue being the casting of an older actress as Cassie Lang. So far, though, there hasn't been much of an indication of that.

The most concrete thing to go on right now is Natasha Romanoff's hair: in parts of the trailer, it's the same style and length as Infinity War, but in others part it's longer and braided.

Since she'd obviously need time to grow her hair out, it's clear that the braids come later in the timeline, which is also when she goes to recruit Hawkeye/Ronin from Japan. That, however, means the time jump happens after the movie has already started - and indeed, after the Avengers have made their first attempt at changing things, as Nat still has her Infinity War hair in the big team shot.

There's also a big question over just how far into the future it goes. Some reports have suggested around five years, but there's little to corroborate that here.
