12. Cap Truly Is Worthy

Surely the single most crowd-pleasing moment in Endgame occurs when Cap saves Thor from being killed by Thanos, by retrieving Thor's hammer Mjolnir out of nowhere and beating Thanos to a pulp with it.

It's not just a kick-ass fan service moment, though - it's of course a pay-off to the iconic gag from Avengers: Age of Ultron, where Cap was the only Avenger capable of even slightly moving Mjolnir at a party.

By the time Endgame rolls around, Cap is now recognised as fully worthy, and the result is one of the most gratifying set-up/pay-offs in the entirety of the MCU.
