Avengers: Endgame New Trailer Breakdown: 16 Things You Need To See
1. Captain Marvel & Thor
After a whole lot of seriousness and dread, Marvel cuts loose in the stinger, much like they did in the first trailer.
Now that Captain Marvel has been out a few days, with a mid-credits scene that reveals she goes to Avengers HQ either just before or at the very start of Endgame, they're able to use Carol Danvers a little more in the marketing, and have some fun with her arrival.
Thor aims to impress her by summoning Stormbreaker, which, to delve back into the 90s, don't impress her much, bringing only a slight smile, which is enough for Thor to declare that he likes her. It's a great character beat for two of the MCU's most powerful superheroes, and Thor and Captain Marvel is the kind of cosmic team-up we can all salivate over.
Thor's in the same clothes from the first trailer, where he was looking rather miserable, so it's nice he's found something to make him smile, and they should have chemistry to spare. It's crucial to establish Carol as one of the team early on, and this is another big step towards doing so.
