And finally, we come to the biggest laugh in the entire movie, when Thor, Rocket and Groot arrive on Wakanda and come face-to-face with Steve Rogers (Chris Evans).

After a quick back-and-forth about their new hairstyles, Thor introduces Cap to Groot, "And by the way, this is my friend, Tree." As Cap watches Groot dispatch a fleet of Outriders, Groot angrily shouts, "I am Groot!", and Cap replies, "I am Steve Rogers."

The hilariously robotic, earnest way in which he responds to Groot is a perfect distillation of everything the character ever has been, and just so unexpected. Wonderful.
