10. An Alternate Opening For Avengers: Infinity War

In Avengers: Infinity War, we got to head back to Gamora's childhood to witness the hero's first meeting with Thanos (the day he slaughtered half her planet and then abducted her). It set the stage for the Guardian of the Galaxy to later be murdered by the Mad Titan, and the young Gamora returned when the villain entered Soul World after unleashing the full power of the Infinity Gauntlet.

"There was a time this little Gamora intro started the script," Markus confirmed, revealing that we weren't always going to kick things off with Thanos attacking Thor's ship. Interestingly, McFeely shared some insight into that scene with the God of Thunder as well, explaining: "This scene could've been 20 minutes. There's a lot on the cutting room floor from this one."

As for the way Gamora was tied to the Soul Stone, McFeely would explain that was always the plan, noting that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige was the one who broke the news to Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn that the character was to be killed off in Avengers: Infinity War.
