Avengers: Infinity War - Here's When You Can Read The First Reviews
Still some way to go, yet...
Hot on the tail of the news that The Russos are keen to stop everyone from spoiling Avengers: Infinity War, we now have an indication of just when we're all going to get to hear whether their movie is any good. And in line with that spoiler suppression agenda, Marvel are keeping the word from critics and fans as tightly locked down as possible close to release.
You'll have to wait until Tuesday 24th April - just two days before worldwide release given the 26th midnight screenings - for the embargo to lift and full reviews to hit the web after the world premiere in Los Angeles on Monday 23rd.
The first people to see the movie will be allowed to share social media responses after the LA premiere, but the full embargo drop won't happen until 24 hours later at 3pm PDT.
Clearly, the studio is very keen to avoid any spoilers at all with audiences able to see it just a couple of days later, which definitely seems to suggest there are some big surprises in there. Unfortunatley, it's a sorry indictment of the state of fandom that they're having to do this, but that's the way social media has changed things.
So while it's not too long until release, we don't get the usual hype-building boost of early reviews, unfortunately. You're just going to have to be patient.
