Although the marketing push for Avengers: Infinity War has brought plenty of reveals, one thing it's kept quiet on - apart from whatever the f**k Hawkeye is up to - is Thanos' Black Order, or rather the actors playing them.

We know the movie will feature Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw, and Cull Obsidian but, until very recently, we haven't had any idea who'd be playing most of them, despite their prominence in the movie and the extensive cast list already revealed.

Tom Vaughan-Lawlor revealed last year that he'd be playing Maw, which the Russo brothers have just confirmed in a new interview with Radio Times. They also revealed that Terry Notary (who has worked on Avatar, The Hobbit, and the Planet of the Apes trilogy) is playing Obsidian, aka Black Dwarf, via motion-capture.

Most excitingly, though, they announced the casting for Proxima Midnight: Carrie Coon, star of The Leftovers and Fargo Season 3, and someone who has proven herself to be television's best actress over the last few years thanks to her indelible performances on those shows (mostly Leftovers).

Coon will deliver a mo-cap performance as well as voice the character, who has been glimpsed in the trailers throwing a spear in the direction of Steve Rogers, and is considered the most gifted fighter amongst the Black Order. Although it's a shame she won't appear in the flesh, it's still a great get for Infinity War (not that it was lacking in the casting department), with Coon capable of bringing so much humanity to her characters. It'll be interesting to see how that works with a mo-cap alien, but more of the woman who played Nora Durst is always welcome.

That leaves just one member of the Black Order unknown, with the actor behind Glaive still a question to be answered. The smart money right now, though, is on it being Peter Dinklage's mysterious character.
