Batman vs Superman Movie: Casting Ben Affleck's Bat Family

It€™s an odd world we live in where a talented actor who is smart enough to have garnered two Academy Awards in two completely different categories being cast as Batman leads to fan uproar, but the announcement of a new, forced installment of a franchise already stretched too far is met with seeming joy. That€™s less about my cynicism of the continuation of the Harry Potter and more about my pure bemusement that Ben Affleck's appointment as Batman has been viewed as bad thing. Now the majority of the furore is over we can actually look forward to the potential this offers the character. Affleck has said in interviews this is a €œtired, weary and seasoned€ Batman (fueling thoughts that the role was originally intended to be a return for Christian Bale), which offers an exciting new direction for a character we€™ve always had to sit through an origin story for before getting to the good stuff. The Dark Knight Rises touched on a run-down Dark Knight, but for a reboot to start there is an unexpected plus of his appearance in Man Of Steel 2. With an experienced Batman naturally comes the whole Batman Family - the gang of crimefighters slowly brought together over Bruce Wayne€™s escapades - who Zack Snyder would be stupid to not include to some degree in Batman Vs. Superman. But who should play them? Today I'm putting forward my personal suggestions, working off the notion of a crew ten years down the line from where the rest of the films have been. Some are pretty out there, although I don€™t think any would get as strong a response as Affleck if they actually happened. There€™s been various different assemblies of the Bat Family over the years in the comics and each member has multiple versions, making whittling down who to include and what iteration tricky. But as Man Of Steel played pretty loose with Superman mythology I've not taken a similar €˜general feel rather than straight adaptation€™ tact.
