15. H.R. Giger's Innuendo-Laced Batmobile Concept
During pre-production for the movie, legendary Swiss surrealist H.R. Giger (best known for his designs for the Alien franchise) created some concepts for the new Batmobile, but of course, they were deemed way too sinister and adult for the kid-and-merchandise-friendly direction the Joel Schumacher movies were headed.

Anyone who's seen any of the Alien movies will appreciate how phallic Giger's designs generally are, and it's easy to see why Warner Bros. balked at a Batmobile essentially made of male genitalia.
