1. The Big Reveal Is Intriguing & Bold

And finally, if there's one aspect of the movie's story it executes especially well, it's the big reveal of Jack the Ripper's true identity.

No spoilers here, but it's genuinely surprising and, while sure to be controversial with some quarters of the Batman fanbase, the film's clear stature as a "what if?" story should make it easy enough to accept on its own terms.

It manages to be shocking while also tethered to at least some semblance of narrative and character logic, even if it's undeniably going to rub some fans the wrong way. Keep an open mind and you just might dig it.
