Batman v Superman concludes with Superman being "killed" by Doomsday, leading to an extended sequence where his "death" is sold to us and he receives a funeral, before the film's final shot sees a faint heartbeat reverberating from his coffin, and the dirt beginning to rise up off of it. Yes, even the most casual superhero fan knows that there's no way Warner Bros. would greenlight a Justice League movie without Superman, and the Man of Steel's inevitable resurrection at the end made that abundantly clear. It remains to be seen how long it'll take Superman to get back into superhero mode, but hopefully it won't be too long.
