It is the most important facet of The Joker. Without a harrowing laugh the character would be nothing. Troy Baker has shown, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he has that menacing cackle that will strike fear into the audience. The laugh has to be able to make the hair on the back of your neck stand on edge both of the previous actors did this and Baker is well and truly able to continue this tradition. The Jokers laugh should be identifiable over a speaker, on the radio, or in person. The laugh is what makes The Joker so menacing. Bakers screechy laugh, right in the middle of something precisely unfunny, would captivate audiences. We would be fully engaged and attached to the character because we would understand why he laughs. The Joker is arguably DCs most recognisable character, so giving him Troy Bakers signature laugh from his previous Joker performances would leave us begging for more... which is exactly what the studios would want.
