Batman V Superman: 10 Reasons Troy Baker Would Be The Perfect Joker

By Samuel Clements /

10. He Could Be Totally Different To Heath Ledger

Heath Ledger€™s portrayal of The Joker was amazing. Words cannot do justice to how menacing and original his take on the Clown Prince of Crime was. Any future version of The Joker would have to be considerably different to Ledger€™s final performance. In Christopher Nolan€™s universe everything was based in reality. The DC Cinematic Universe already has an alien superhero who has levelled Metropolis in his first film. Wonder Woman, the Amazonian princess, is certainly going to be in the film, so who€™s to say that a version of the Joker with bleached skin couldn€™t fit in that universe? Heath Ledger€™s joker will remain a feat of cinematic genius, but there are countless ways to redesign the character to fit in this new universe. The Joker no longer needs scars, he could be bleached or use lots of makeup. Anything goes in DC€™s latest venture. Baker has the ability to play this type of character extremely well; he wouldn€™t have to be as gruesome and violent as the version in the Dark Knight. He could play a far more theatrical Joker who is looking for a laugh rather than sheer anarchy. This leads us onto our next point.
