The Question: One thing that has pretty cloudy reasoning throughout the movie and could use some more straightforward explaining in Justice League is why Lex Luthor hates Superman so much. Seriously, beyond "because he's Lex Luthor", the movie really needs to give us something. The Likely Answer: Lex gives a number of fairly nebulous possible answers, namely relating to his abusive father (because in the eyes of a child, their parents are equal to Gods) and his disgust at the idea that an all-powerful being can also be all-good. There are also a number of biblical allusions, but none of them are especially satisfying on their own, and so we're probably just going to have to settle for "because Lex is an unstable douchebag." Still, at least there's no damn real estate scheme this time...
