Batman v Superman has one hell of a cast, so it's a shame to hear that the script hasn't nearly made the most of them. Amy Adams in particular is a significant afterthought according to reviews, which assert that she's "never more lost in a film that has no use for her softness" (Time Out), "doesnt do much else to justify that walk from trailer to green screen" (Irish Times), and that "a convoluted subplot...seems to exist merely to give Lois Lane a story to pursue" (IGN). Aside from Adams, "the rest of the enormous cast is confined to mostly cameos" (Forbes), Jeremy Irons "could use more to do" and..."Daily Planet scenes are even more perfunctory this time around" (Variety). And finally, "Poor Holly Hunter is forced to limp through portentous speeches as Senator Finch" (Digital Spy). What a waste of Oscar winners and nominees this is.
