Batman's three suits are all taken from the pages of the comics. Both the sleeker grey and black number with the (somehow bullet proof) rubber mask and the hulking suit of armour are very close to Frank Miller's costumes in The Dark Knight Returns. And in the Knightmare sequence, Batman's trenchcoat seems to pay homage to Damian Wayne's future outfit during his stint as Batman under the pen of Grant Morrison.
