Even though the internet has spent the sum of the past year trying to guess what, exactly, will happen across the span of Batman V Superman, nobody could have suspected that the fans would pretty much wind up nailing the narrative beats in almost every capacity. That's to say, it turns out that Batman V Superman is exactly the film that everyone thought it would be: its plot, subplots, heroes and villains all precisely as anticipated. Which is kind of a let-down, truth be told. Because, well... despite the fact that the internet went on and on regarding the teased inclusions like Luthor creating Doomsday and such, it's a little disappointing to learn that the fanbase has been almost spot-on from the beginning. Heck, even I wrote an article back in January that pretty much nailed every element of the storyline teased within this trailer, down to even the smallest details - and that was before a whole lot of information about Dawn Of Justice had been unveiled. When that article was written, there was a sense that most of it would turn out to be untrue, and yet the filmmakers seem to have opted for the most obvious - and thus expected - storyline. Why does it feel like a kick in the balls to learn that all our predictions turned out to be right? Probably because we expected more, right? Something a whole lot different?
