When it was revealed that The Wolverines Tao Okamoto was to play Batman v Supermans Mercy Graves, many presumed that shed be around for the long run or at least for future Lex Luthor appearances.

Whilst Jesse Eisenbergs Lex is still alive and well, unfortunately Mercy wasnt as lucky. We all presumed that Mercy a character so often seen as Luthors right hand (wo)man and his protector would be firmly at the side of Lex for the foreseeable future. Instead, she was merely used as collateral damage during the court room explosion of Scott McNairys Wallace Keefe.
Poor Mercy barely made it to the halfway point of Batman v Superman, which is something nobody predicted. Given how poorly the film has been received so far, maybe the character was one of the lucky ones.
