5. The New Batman Pales In Comparison To Christopher Nolan's

Who can forget the insanely volatile backlash when Ben Affleck was announced as the new Batman? Aside from almost breaking the Internet, the response was almost universally negative, citing his poor performance as Daredevil, and his prior insistence that he'd never suit up as a superhero again. Even so, fears were mostly quelled when images of Affleck were released, and all the more when trailers gave us a glimpse at his Bat-voice and his general look as both Bruce Wayne and Batman. The doubts have since shifted from Affleck's performance to whether the script can create a Batman who lives up to Christopher Nolan's much-loved interpretation. Given the sheer number of iconic moments Nolan created, it's an extremely steep hill for Affleck, Terrio, Goyer and Snyder to climb, and they're probably hoping for the impossible, that people won't compare it to what came before but just accept it on its own terms. Naturally one non-solo movie won't really be enough to judge Affleck's Batman properly, but fans will still have a pretty good idea as to how he measures up to the most-acclaimed interpretation to date, and short of a miracle, it'll probably be less-favourably.
