7. The Jaw Rip - Primate

Primate certainly delivers squarely on the promises of a killer chimp move, serving up a bevy of gory kills achieved mostly with gnarly practical effects.

And the best of the bunch is surely afforded to Drew (Charlie Mann), a young man who rocks up to the Pinborough home looking to party, only to quickly cross paths with primate Ben in one of the bedrooms.

Ben swiftly subdues Drew, and though this exchange is at first playful, Drew quickly becomes concerned when the chimp pins him down and won't budge.

From there, after Drew threatens to call animal welfare on him, Ben grabs Drew's jaw and rips it clean off, killing him in short order. 

And because that's not bad enough, Ben then starts playing with the torn off jaw, seemingly mocking his victim before moving on to the house's other residents. 

Say what you will about Primate, but it was pretty much a best case scenario for a slasher film in which the Jason Voorhees character is a rabid chimp.
