Bill & Ted Face The Music Review: 6 Ups & 4 Downs

A mostly triumphant farewell to the iconic duo.

For most Bill & Ted fans, it truly seemed like this day would never come.

29 years after Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey first hit screens, with more than a decade in active development, the third Bill & Ted film has finally been released.

With numerous botched attempts to get the threequel off the ground, many fans had pretty much given up hope on it ever happening, but alas, last summer Bill & Ted Face the Music finally began filming.

And now that it's here, it's also a pleasure to report that the film is a mostly successful follow-up - an imperfect sequel that's perhaps too reliant on playing the hits, but ultimately an affectionate, warm-hearted reunion with these beloved characters.

It may not do too much for the uninitiated, but fans of the first two movies should find enough here to enjoy, even if it's relatively unambitious as belated threequels go - which isn't always a bad thing.
