The reactions to the 2016 Suicide Squad film were certainly mixed. However, one thing that most people did agree upon was that one of the highlights of the film was Margot Robbie's portrayal of Harley Quinn.

With Wonder Woman performing so well in theatres, it didn't take much time for Warner Bros. to announce that Harley was getting her own spin-off movie.

The title has been announced as being called "Birds of the Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)." Though the title is a bit of a mouthful, it's a way to signify the playful tone of the film.

In January the studio released a "teaser". The twenty-second video plays like a hipster fashion ad that is reminiscent of the inside of a carnival fun house. The teaser gives off the vibe that this film will be told through the world as Harley sees it.

With the film set to be released sometime next year, it is surprising how little information has been released about it. From what we do have to speculated over, the film looks to be an interesting step to the side for the DCEU.

7. Harley And The Joker Are On The Rocks

As the title pretty much tells us, this film will be focused Harley on her own. Not with the Joker, but as her own person instead. This alteration has piqued the interest of fans, considering the last time we saw Harley she was happily in the arms of her "Puddin."

This is an important step for her character arc because we have not yet seen Harley when she's out of the Joker's influence. Though she was not physically in the same space as him in Suicide Squad, her heart was with him throughout. A great example of this is the vision sent to her by the Enchantress, where she lived a peaceful, domestic life with him.

This film will give us a chance to spend time with her when she is looking out for her own interests.

The reason for their break up will most likely be addressed early on in the film. Though it wouldn't take much imagination to figure that Harley simply realized she deserves better than his abusive behavior. She certainly doesn't appear to be missing him in the teaser.
