Black Adam: 10 Things You Need To Know About Dwayne Johnson's DC Movie

4. Where's Hawkgirl?

Like Hawkman, Hawkgirl is a big part of the Justice Society of America, but she's absent from Black Adam, as are other key members (most of whom are currently being used in the Stargirl TV series on DC Universe/The CW). Fans are understandably upset, but Johnson has offered an explanation.

Taking to Twitter to respond to a fan asking about the character's whereabouts, he said: "[Hawkgirl] was [100%] in our original JSA team. Sadly, it’s a complicated story I’ll share [with] the fans down the road. But it opened up the door for another awesome opportunity for another actress to come in and crush the role of Cyclone. I believe it all works out how it’s meant to."

There's clearly a story here, but it's unclear why Johnson decided against elaborating on that. Warner Bros. could, of course, have other plans for the character, though it's a little surprising the studio decided to make Hawkgirl off limits to such a high-profile project.

Now, it seems Cyclone is basically just a replacement, but with her unlikely to have any sort of relationship with Hawkman, a key romantic component to this story will now be missing.
