The final ending is Bandersnatch's most ambitious, in which Stefan chops up his father's body and decides to streamline Bandersnatch's branching framework to give the player less choice (how meta!).

The game gets five stars, though copies are pulped and pulled off the shelves. Years later, we meet Colin's daughter Pearl, who is now an adult and rebooting Bandersnatch for Netflix.

She opens up a decision tree to reveal the actual Bandersnatch film, and as she appears to start seeing the same messages that Stefan did, the player can opt to either douse the computer in tea or destroy it, both of which lead to the end credits.

Passing amusing comment on both Netflix itself and a culture obsessed with nostalgia, this ending manages to be clever and satisfying without getting depressing for its own sake.
