Marvel Studios just dropped the first full trailer for next February's hugely-anticipated Black Panther solo movie, after initially releasing a teaser trailer all the way back in June.

Though the full PR onslaught for the film won't begin until Thor: Ragnarok is out of the way in a few weeks, this new trailer builds on the teaser by further emphasising T'Challa's personal conflict, the nature of Wakanda's existence within "the real world", Michael B. Jordan's villain and also introducing some additional action beats.

While there are definitely things to complain about in the trailer, it mostly does a great job doing what every trailer must: it heightens the intrigue, shows off the ludicrous action, and emphasies exactly why its title hero needs his own movie in the first place.

With Creed director Ryan Coogler at the helm, it's easy to be optimistic that this could be one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most singular and intriguing films to date. Fingers crossed...

20. M'Baku (AKA Man-Ape)

The trailer opens with scenic images of Wakanda as Everett Ross tells T'Challa, "I've seen Gods fly...I've seen men build weapons that I couldn't even imagine."

At this point, we get another glimpse of the villainous M'Baku (Winston Duke), a warlord who opposes T'Challa becoming the new king of Wakanda. M'Baku is best known by his comic book moniker Man-Ape, but this version of the story will not use that antiquated name due to its dated, racist connotations.

Still, the character certainly looks like a bada**, though it's anyone's guess what the Hell is up with the decor in this room.
