Blog or website, you decide
Well we got close but when the figures came in, we just couldn't justify going to print. I could tell you in the ins and outs of it but man, I'm so drained after three full days of talks with various people and number crunching. I just need to sleep! Anyway, the short tail end of it was this is what I get getting back from people. I've made this sentence up but this is what most people said to me...

"Your readership isn't too different to the print run of Empire who don't get as many readers as you think because people don't pay for film news anymore. If you went print, you couldn't compete. Online, you can. You have quite a powerful website as it is, you have more stroke than you would anywhere else right now. And all the exclusives you have tried to get for the mag, you can just use online and it would work."Now although our stats have gone up over the past three weeks (although that has something to do with quality content, not just for me but the rest of the staff here), I know most of you aren't happy with the design the way it is. So here we go... one last roll of the dice. For once, I'm leaving it up to you guys. Website or blog. The website, will use pretty much the design we previously had (just with some design changes, trying to incorporate feature writing more). Probably everything underneath the revolving image would change, the top bar would be cleaner and the news stories on the left would probably incorporate an image. Though we would tweak it to make it look cleaner. You decide... website or blog.... what is it you want. Whichever is winning at the end of the poll, we will go with. I promise. No more changes after that.
