Bond 25: 5 Things From Previous Daniel Craig Films It Must Continue (And 4 It Must Avoid)
9. CONTINUE: The End Of The Long Game
One good element of Spectre was its fusion of the stories of the other three films. It's been the intent since the 2006 Casino Royale set-up for Bond to gradually breach the subterranean depths of a global evil organisation, which came to an interesting culmination in the last film.
With Blofeld still notably not dead, there is wiggle room for this story arc to be capped off, and possibly with a great deal more substance. The challenge for Bond 25 will be for it to keep the long game in mind, whilst standing fully on its own merits, something Casino Royale and Skyfall pulled off masterfully.
Nobody knows which villainous outlook will be adopted by the newly acquired Rami Malek. But Bond's long-running battle with the forces of evil is set to come to a close, which means an epic finale needs to be on the cards. We all know about Spectre now, but the big bad is still out there and it's not going down without a fight.
And neither is 007.
