2. The Completely INSANE Ending
Even beyond this film's unbelievable "gotcha!" moment, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm has a few more surprises up its sleeve for its loony final sequence, which is easily one of the movie's highlights.
Without giving anything away at all, Cohen makes some bold narrative leaps which pass comment on the current state of the world in an hilariously subversive and completely demented way.
For a film steeped in so much grim reality despite its inherent absurdity, it's rather relieving that the ending takes a more blatantly ridiculous path, ensuring viewers will be belly-laughing at the complete madness they've just witnessed.
Again, it's going to keep people talking for the foreseeable future, and in its silliness feels a bit like placing a plaster on the wounds of 2020.
