Ant-Man hasn't even had a proper chance to meet the Avengers yet, and already he's about to be thrown into an epic battle that will alienate him from at least half of the world's superheroes - right off the bat. Talk about a terrible start to a life as a hero, huh? Okay, so from the promotional images and marketing materials already glimpsed, audiences have been made aware that Ant-Man will ultimately side with Captain America. Why, exactly, nobody knows, but it's important to remember that - sides be damned - Ant-Man (Scott Lang) is a relatively inexperienced superhero. Getting involved in a Civil War with minimal field training and little knowledge of the original team dynamic puts him in an inherently dangerous position - and at a major disadvantage compared to the others. After all, he's going to be facing off against Tony Stark and a bunch of former Avengers without actually having met them. Whilst Ant-Man will surely be able to handle himself, his participation doesn't bode well for any future goings-on in the MCU - nor does it do him any favours with Iron Man, who is likely to win the war (at least, he is according to the comics).
