Anyone who knows anything about the Civil War comic will be aware that Spider-Man plays a huge role in it, initially joining Tony Stark's pro-registration side before changing his mind and joining Cap. He's a focal aspect of the story, the arbiter around which much of the drama revolves, but he sadly won't figure much at all in the movie because he's been relegated to a cameo appearance only, likely a post-credits scene once all the action has died down no less. Every comic fan worth their salt is eager to see how Tom Holland fares as Spidey and how the character fits into the MCU, but you're probably not going to get much more than a quick tease here. With Spidey's standalone 2017 movie following, it won't be until 2018's Avengers Infinity War: Part 1 that we finally see the beloved superhero fighting as part of the supergroup.
