5. Zemo Lives To "Fight" Another Day

For once Marvel decided not to kill off their villain like their usual Monster Of The Week approach to bad guys.

While Zemo's personal story means he's not quite on the same scale of super-villainy as his comic book counterpart, there's no real reason he can't blossom into a more substantial figure who would work alongside Thanos for Infinity War. We already know there were some plans to have Ultron call on existing villains (Abomination, specifically), and the idea of Thanos again recruiting underlings (as he has before) to include familiar villains would be a smart move.

It's less likely that Zemo would escape and somehow summon Red Skull from wherever the Tesseract banished him to, given his disdain for HYDRA, but there's always a chance that Thanos will charge him with doing just that, given his knowledge of the organisation.

Whatever the case, it would be silly to assume this is the last we'll see of Zemo.
