8. Falcon
Yes, it's rather a shame that Falcon's rise comes at the cost of War Machine being side-lined, but Anthony Mackie's comedic cockiness and his dynamic with Bucky in particular more than makes up for that decision.
Even when faced with uncertain odds and inevitable danger, alcon is a quipping machine, waivering between dick-swinging swagger and an inferiority complex that turns him and Bucky into warring siblings looking for validation from their father.
And beyond the attitude, Falcon's fighting is incredible. He gets to use his new wings not only to fly but also as shields and weapons in their own right, and the physics work that has gone into those sequences deserves special praise.
He might not to everyone's taste (his charism grates when he's on screen for too long), but you can see why Cap likes him, and that's extremely important going forward.
